I used to think the whole blahpipo can't swim thing was a meme. They even teach you that it's a myth based on racism. But then you see instances like this or even at local pools where blahpipo jump in the water and just sink immediately until the lifeguard rescues them. I wonder why?

realistically what would stop you from sailing around the Mediterranean sea around africa, with a machine gun just sailing around baiting one of these rubber boats and gunning them down

Probably would work the first few times, but authorities would catch up at some point. This would probably lead to more patrouls around the mediterranean, which in the worst case could lead to more of those boats being rescued, making the problem even worse.
