The average American is ignorant. They’re not necessarily stupid (some are) but even the intelligent ones truly don’t know that much about the outside world, because they don’t have to; we’re relatively geographically isolated, have 330 million people, and more than enough shit going on here to keep you entirely occupied for a lifetime. You think you’re flooded with lots of American media living in your foreign, non-English speaking country? Imagine what it’s like to actually live in America. So broadly speaking, the average American views foreigners, especially cracker foreigners from places like Norway, as little elf people with cute little quirked up customs. What would you do if you encountered a gnome? You’d probably be polite. Americans on this board, however, are neurodivergent people whose special autistic interest is other countries, and if you’re like this you quickly realize that everyone hates America and Americans, for some just reasons and some unjust, but none of which you have control over. In particular it’s aggravating when foreigners comment on American politics, which they love to do, because no matter how many youtube videos you’ve watched and news articles you’ve read, you don’t actually know what it’s like to live here. So naturally, these people become defensive and aggressive, hence the insufferable whiny faggot behavior.

This is actually a soft spot for me because it annoys me when a lot europeans try to act superior discussing american politics. It irks me the same when foreigners talk shit about sweden or nordics all around without actually knowing anything about us because I see the parallel .I just hate arrogance in general I think and I think that's the core of my problem with americans on int specifically. I think it's a mix of both. I always feel like theres some thread about norway or nordics even if I know that's logically not the case since we're pretty irrelevant. But americans are one of the most relevant nationalities on the world stage, it's just logical that there will be a lot of threads about you lot. And humans tend to respond to negativity more than positivity, you'll notice people starting shit with americans a lot more than you'll notice americans starting shit with others.
