Braum’s. Cheap breakfast there. Can get a large coffee, breakfast burrito and hashbrowns for $6. Good ice cream too, pick some up after work every once in a while.

I can’t stomach the big fast food chains, and I don’t eat out all that often (I’m frugal and a good cook), but there are a bunch of Asian supermarkets in my area with good takeaway options where I will occasionally grab lunch on the go. My favorites are Korean grocery store near my office, a massive Taiwanese supermarket near my house, and a small but well-stocked Japanese supermarket near where I used to live.

If we’re talking restaurants, it’s usually a hole-in-the-wall Asian place patronized by Asians.

I live in California, and I guess I have whatever the culinary version of yellow fever is.
