I think all religions are created by humans but at least Abrahamic religions follow a coherent storyline and have rules that somewhat make sense. Eastern religions look weird in comparison

I’m sure you aren’t. And pretending for a bit that this isn’t just a low-effort baiting shitpost, surely your sense that the Abrahamic faiths are more logical is just a product of their similarities and common origins.

Anyhow, I obviously disagree; I think all of the major religions are more or less equally goofy, potentially out-goofied only by the new religions (Jehovahs, Mormonism, Scientology, etc).

I make half of an exception for the Buddhists, however, because although the cosmology is goofy Hindu nonsense, and there are all kinds of magic and monsters and absurdity in the various literatures and local traditions, at its core Buddhism isn’t so much a religion at all, but rather a set of pretty sensible basic philosophical ideas and suggestions. There is guaranteed suffering, this is what causes it, here’s how to live better and reduce it. Gods are irrelevant, neither causing nor demanding anything. And the Buddha isn’t a god at all, although it’s easy to see why he gets mistaken for one.

Buddhism doesn't have as much of a story as its nore centered on Buddhas realization of the nature of reality than on what he strictly did or didn't do
Though i think Mahayhana Buddhism has more of the similarities to Christianity in terms of having more of a story of "universal salvation"

God is all-powerful, omniscient, and holy, but Jews can poke all manner of holes in his laws and find loopholes everywhere. God is fine with this and won't punish them for it. Same God had to send his son to die as a message to the world when he had far better options to redeem humanity. Then God suddenly decided this Arab merchant was to be his favourite prophet and the Jesus stuff was a mistake.
