The European domination of the Americas is more complicated than disease or genocide. There was a great deal of intermingling between races just as much as there was conflict. For instance an entire race of metís was created in Canada. In Anerica scotsirish and blacks carry a great deal of DNA. In the 1700s and 1800s tribes that were mostly white were often encountered (source look it up im busy). Whites and Indians fought sise by side against other whites and Indians as often as they fought against each other. The Comanche had an empire until the late 1800s. Sure, there were acts of genocide against the Native Americans, but arguably more common was settlers just walking in to newly vacant territory. Maybe the most classic example of this was Patuxet. Patuxet was a Wampanoag village that the Pilgrims wanted to anchor near, but when they got there, they found the whole village wiped out by disease except for one guy wandering around named Squanto.

It's why there are still a lot of people with native heritage and a lot of the countries have long pre-columbian histories and have that make up a lot of their culture.
