I think it has many factors, propably some ancient monkey dna unga bunga dominance thing, having someone in a group who is clearly below you which elevates your own position, and physically taking your frustration out on someone. I never liked physically hurting people or animals, but I also was and am a shitty person sometimes to other people if I had a bad day or something, but more verbally shitting on someone instead of slapping the shit out of them

Is it weird I've never seen this irl? It seems almost like a tv trope to me. Sure there was vocal bullying but mostly snide comments and outcasting like Kate in Lizzie McGuire. But physical bullying? No one ever does that in my life, schoollife or not. No physical violence at all. If some kids tried this with me or anyone I'd seriously injure them.
