Okay so I have a really fun fact. In the 1930s the Finnish beaver population was considered too small and the decision was made to replenish it with American beavers. Well, it turns out Eurasian and American beavers can't mate so Finland has two distinct populations of beavers(or "majava" in Finnish if that matters).
Now as for me I personally have never seen a "majava" since I'm from Helsinki, the capital of Finland for centuries but I think it's very cool none the less. I hope to see a amerikanmajava("American Beaver") one day if I go forest-walking in the wildernesss, which is a popular Finnish past time. In Finland we have this thing called "jokamiehenoikeus" or every man's right which means we can freely roam the wilderness regardless of ownership status without getting shot. I think that's pretty cool, just one of the cool little quirks about Finland.
