The two common muslim argument (it was jinni, it doesn't mean to mount but surrounded) have both been addressed and have poor support.
There is no basis for thinking it was jinnis and those who first shed light on the hadith were arab speakers themselves.
The best you could argue is for it being da'if, but that causes even more issues for you.
