>藥王當知 是諸人等 已曾供養 十萬億佛 於諸佛所 成就大願 愍眾生故 生此人間
Know, Bhaiṣajyarāja, that these people have already paid reverence to tens of myriads of kotis of Buddhas, and before these many Buddhas have completed their great vows, and that it is due to their compassion for other beings that they have been born in this human realm (人間)
this is the original use of the word 人間 as in buddhist context
it means that it comes from or occurs in the realm of humans 人 as opposed to deva 天 or asura 阿修羅, which are the other positive realms of rebirth
it's impossible to escape 仏語 in japanese and the sutras are always relevant

This isn't political, I just want djt to know I haven't felt true lasting happiness since 2016
I keep stagnating on learning kanji because I keep trying out new methods and giving up on old methods because they don't have any way to skip to the kanji I haven't already learned. I think I know a total of 30 kanji. I'm contemplating redownloading Duolingo just because it has a skip feature even though it's a disgusting app riddled with inaccuracies.
any resources to start reading before i can read yotsuba? dont want to get bored and stop learning again

There's a lot, if you mean kid books for little babies,
https://tadoku.org/japanese/en/free-books-en/ and like 5 other sources when you search "Japanese kids books" or "Japanese graded readers"
If you mean "what do I need to know before I start reading", Japanese. You need to know Japanese. Most manga will be roughly jlpt n4 or 3, or kanken 8-6 with occasional kanji and grammar from higher levels. Yotsuba!& Is rated n4, but even if you're at n4, the hardest part will be the grammar.

Skip kanji, you learn them for free with vocab
>I got a feeling you're better off searching of your happiness somewhere else tho~

Doing Anki instead of whatever you're learning the language for sounds like a sure way to get bored, just give it a try and see how it goes

>Skip kanji, because you.... Learn kanji... With kanji (vocab)
You're giving me mixed signals, skip kanji (vocab) or do kanji (vocab)?
>But uh erm a YouTuber said that the best way to learn kanji was to learn kanji (vocab)????????
Either way you have to study kanji as one single symbol at a time or multiple symbols that are attached to each other, but I've already given up on that method out of frustration of encountering kanji and vocabulary that I already know, and the mnemonic system, and the writing it a billion times method, and the translating things I already want to talk about and then adding the new kanji and vocab to an anki deck method

It's not very nice to put words in people mouth, this isn't an eceleb worship thread.
You don't want to repeat what you already know although you claim to only know 30 kanji. Going over what you know once more would not take more than a day. Whatever you end up using you need to build a routine and stick to it.
It will be boring. You will have to 我慢 through it.
If you use anki you can suspend the cards with kanji or vocab you for sure know so you never see them again. Or just learn them again.

I never noticed this before but
居る おる has an extra meaning other than old fashioned polite stuff that いる doesnt have
>3 動詞の連用形に付いて用いる。
>(相手を軽蔑する気持ちを込めて)…やがる。「あんなやつに負け—・って」
負けおる
