Every day more and more evidence comes to light about how many Russians have been lost in Russia's failure of an invasion. Russians will cope and seethe and claim all estimates are Ukrainian propaganda. However multiple sources all point to similar numbers. The UK estimates around 350,000 Russians have died and 1.1 million have been lost in total. But how do we know they are telling the truth? Prigozhin before he died said 250 Russians die on average a day in the war. We are on day 1,333 so times that by 250 and we get 333,250 which is extremely close to the UK estimate. But how about a third source.
https://200.zona.media/ is an open source archive of social media posts and inheritance cases. It currently contains 135,000 facebook posts announcing funerals for fallen Russian soldiers who died in the Ukraine war and also contains 219,000 inheritance cases related to the Ukraine war. Keep in mind the people who run this project want to remind people that they have not and can not track every death. For example a large percentage of bodies take months to arrive home and many never arrive home at all (A Russian official confirmed over 50,000 families have contacted her about their missing relatives body alone). They also can't find all posts on every social media site and not every person posts about their relatives death. They estimate they find around 35% to 50% of the total. This get's you to a number strikingly similar to the 350,000 estimate yet again.
This is kind of insane to think about. In the same amount of time as Russia's war in Ukraine, the US fought in the Korean war where around 30,000 men died. This means Russia is losing around 10 times more people per day than America did in it's bloodiest war since ww2. In fact in WW2 America 290,000 men dead. This means Russia has already lost more people than America did in the worst war in history
