"The city of São Paulo has a GDP almost equal to that of Portugal. If you include the metropolitan area, São Paulo's GDP is larger than that of Portugal. One of the major problems of São Paulo's industrialization was the lack of oil and coal, as Brazil is poor in coal and oil had not been found in the country. This changed with the discovery of gigantic oil deposits in the Southeast region and in in the Amazon region. Just like México, the Brazilian industrial production is already greater than that of any European country except Germany. And it can increase much more."

We don't have a take because that's not really the case. Portugal and Brazil are different countries with mostly different cultures, geographic influence, etc that don't really overlap. The only thing that could fit that would be language but at the end of the day we all speak Portuguese

I live in a high-rise in São Paulo, and a neighbor of mine just took this photo.
This hawk is very common here. It's a very intelligent bird that usually hunts in groups, which is rare among birds of prey.
It's very cool to see flocks of these creatures flying around here.

The Portuguese rarely think about Brazil. However, there's a common annoyance of there being few PT-PT in international products, because PT-BR usually structures sentences differently and uses different words so you're constantly aware of it. It's not like English where they blend together (or maybe that's my ESL take).

Nah, I understand what you're saying, I know Portuguese and I can confirm firsthand that European Portuguese is substantially different, grammatically.
When I was a young child there was a huge lack of Latin-American Spanish content on the internet so we had to stick with Iberian Spanish, which was kind of silly. But I guess for you guys it must have been backwards and that must have sucked.

Is European Spanish as different to American Spanish? It's not really about it being backwards, it's just objectively different.

Not really, grammatically it is pretty much the exact same except for the customary use of the second person informal plural, as well as preferring the perfect tense instead of just using the preterite (simple past). What's different is just pronunciation and lexicon.
So, nah, it isn't really that different, for a kid it's just the amount of silly words they use that makes it uncomfortable to come across.
