because full auto is big scary even though it's not really that much more effective unless you have an actual dedicated full auto gun. that's why most militaries only use full auto on the belt fed.
some guy accidently shot a baby back in like the 1920s and they had this gang land execution of other gang members back in the 1920s where they shot tied up gang members in the back and ever since then full autos have been heavily regulated and our courts have been doing these retarded ass dances to try to get rid of gun laws, but keep the full auto restrictions in place. Like if you read heller, mcdonald and bruen the decisions were written in this weird fucking way just so they could justify keeping the full auto restrictions in place while getting rid of a lot of other restrictions.
we even had a law? rule from the 80s where if something can be easily turned into a machine gun it's a machine gun and we can't have open bolt guns because they are too easy to turn into machine guns

glock switches are drop in parts that don't require a lot of technical know how. like I don't think they've been a major cause of crime or death but you have retarded gang members buying them from china off temu and ebay for like $20 and dropping them in no problem. it's probably ease of use more than anything else
