like what? different weapons or external fuel tanks? or different radars or avionics? you can do all that with the F-35 too, the British ones will integrate the MBDA Meteor for example, Israeli ones have their own avionics, you can mount external fuel tanks too (those reduce stealth ofc).
the Gripen is just older and less advanced. it's still a good fighter, just not as good as the F-35.

Gripen is manufactured in both Sweden and Brazil these days. Upped production has been in the work for our own fleet for a couple of years already. Russian jets are absolutely flying. What they aren't doing is flying over contested Ukrainian territory, instead the Russians stick to their own air space and launch missiles at the Ukrainians.
The Russians don't have air dominance like America did in Iraq or Afghanistan but that doesn't mean that aircraft are suddenly useless.
