Do the employment statistics include underemployment (people with good degrees working low wage trash jobs) and gig/part time work (food delivery apps)?
Most nations do, so they get to lie that the economy is great and unemployment is low. In reality, a huge % of people are working shitty low income jobs that can't pay the bills.
In addition, the unemployment stats do not include those that completely gave up on job search (in USA, "unemployment" status is for those that get unemployment benefits and are actively searching for work).
