Is Brazil really that much of a shithole? I'm a Google maps autist and spend hours in different countries, after going through a lot of different areas in Brazil it honestly hasn't been that bad. It has tons of beautiful nature ranging from thick rainforests to European-like hilly planes and even savanna type biomes. Some of the big cities are kind of shitholes but the rural towns especially near the south look quite comfy.

Can you live a 'normal' life living in one of these small towns? Do most people live there life there or do they move away to the cities?

Even the private ones you can get scholarships and student help programs etc

The healthcare is flooded by favelados and constantly on shortage of everything, and the free college has racial quotas for entry so that only the purest africans may benefit a lot from it. It's alright if you don't live in a metropolis or in a coast area. Sure, walking around alone at night is a bad idea regardless of where you are, but if you live in a small town, life can be peaceful.
