Both of my parents ancestors were slave owners, if anything, my dad's last name figures among the ones who betrayed the incas, there is even a lake named after a saint in ecuador. And thanks to public records, I can easily see, my ancestors were not raped, they were the rapists.

My dads side had Basques who came here as indentured servants who were basically just slaves and Natives who were semi-westernized and embraced slavery of Africans and sometimes Euros and other Natives. Some of them were Confederate aligned during the civil war. It's kinda fucked. I know some Quechuas were busted for using Amazonian natives as slave laborers to drive those big tour busses to Cuzco a few years ago and Japanese Peruvians have also engaged in enslaving Venezuelan/Bolivian/Spanish migrants in fisheries too. Funny how readily the oppressed will become the oppressor.
