Idk, I don't mind Canadians for the most part, even though their inferiority complex online comes across as annoying. Some of my favorite people are Canadian (Jim Carrey, Wayne Gretzky, Steve Yzerman etc.)
The recent stuff probably has to do with mass immigration from a culture unfamiliar with yours. People who have never met an Hindu in their life started seeing Diwali celebrations in their neighborhood and jobs that were usually done by teenagers looking to make a buck over the summer is now done by foreigners with a funny accent.
