Probably not. Some of those languages (Hindi, Bengali) aren't worth learning period. Most people in this thread are learning either a romance language, germanic language, one of the three main east asian languages, or Russian.

Spanish really spoiled me with the wide variety of resources available. I've been looking at resources for learning Russian and it's absolutely dire.

It's crazy how much being even a little distracted or sleep deprived affects my Anki reps. It's a miracle humans can consistently learn anything resembling language at all.

I love using memorization to learn. Things like Anki (or Quizlet, kek. I actually pay for their "Learn" tool when I need to cram and memorize test banks for exams I've procrastinated studying for) will definitely help with that, and there's a function to type your answers as well. words are very context-sensitive and acquisition of words is very emotion/sensation driven, so meaning is usually more apparent from interesting material than it is from a flash card and the word usually sticks better when its encountered via something youre interested in

Yea. The way I did it is to start with a premade deck of the most common words and then make my own from my input material. This is what the back of many of my sentence-mined cards look like for JP, and the front just has the word, and I plan to do it with French next. It should work for any language.

Well I'm almost conversational in quite a few languages, and still can't understand most media in any of them.
I guess a language I'm focusing on right now is hindi, the problem is I don't really know how to progress beyond a certain point. Ostatni means other in Czech but the last in Polish. The last in Czech is posledni which is like Polish pośledni which means inferior and inferior in Czech is nižší which means lower in Polish. Rich countries and languages spoken by large numbers of people usually also mean a wealth of content, history, culture, people, and social circles to hook up to. If you are passionate about one language, you simply learn it instead of talking here about your choice; if you are passionate about several, you have to add reasons to reject some of them.

What happens when you get fluent is that once you reach that goal you lose all sense of purpose in realizing that you are at the end of your journey. You start looking back at those magical moments encountering new words and grammatical concepts, and the hours you spent gooning to lily. Life to you now as you are fluent in your TL is that you feel the language is no longer that enchanted foreign land you were so attracted to, and the attention from the native speakers slowly dwindles and you just become another face in the crowd.
