I know a weeb who is so obsessive with Japan that he on principle says every other media is bad if it's not in the Japanese language. Immediately after learning Japanese he says 'I think I'm giving up on comedy' the guy used to be really into sketch comics like Sam Hyde too. Genuinely hilarious moment for me.

This show made me laugh as well. Chuds don't like it because it has a tranny plot, but apart from yaoi hands or unintentionally bad eroge CGs I don't think anything else got a laugh out of me.

Fumoffu is the only piece of media made in Japan I know of that is even remotely funny.

There was a comedy anime in the 90s called Ping Pong Club. It has that 90s delinquent style humor, Kennel Tokorozawa is mostly funny because apart from it being a dog trying to fuck the main heroine Rin Tin Tin's rambling internal monologues are actually pretty funny. They picked the best comedian Japan had to utilize the fact that anime is cheap as dirt and lingers on the same frame constantly. Too bad it didn't have too long a run. Seems like most of the best stuff in regards to comedy was in the 90s.

I'm convinced there's no Japanese period that knows about Inferno Cop or Mahou Shoujo? Naria Girls. These feel more like Adult Swim style humor, they just had actors bullshit over extremely cheap animation and it pretty funny. It's not as good as the Ghost Stories dub, but it's still funny.
