Apples and bowling balls. The US completely steamrolled Afghanistan in like two weeks despite it being on the other side of the globe. The people there hated us though and would rather die than live under our puppet government so they never gave up their insurgency. Americans got demoralized and tired of spending money propping up a failed state so we left. Completely different story from the conventional war in Ukraine.

Same thing with Iraq. We are good at precisely blowing shit up with stand-off weapons though. The fact that Ukraine has a functioning Air Force and air defense network three years into this war is testament to Russia’s weakness in that regard.
