I get some of that is just growing up but still seems weird, and I effectively lost all but half a year of college
all my friends now are in their 40s or 50s because no one younger does anything

Behavior no, but people are miserable

The interest rates got spiked and have sloooowly come down, but economic output is slow, households are keeping a tight economy, no spending, large unemployment, economy just slowed down to a crawl

People are sort of pacified waiting for something to happen, the government is trying to lower VAT and stuff to get people to spend to kickstart the economy but people are still burned from their mortgages going from 1.5% to 5% over one year and refuse to increase spending

Really depressing state the country is in right now, feels like everyone is just frozen in fear
