because japan is their spiritual father. one who is heckin based and redpilled, who staved off globohomo, and reaping all the benefits of being a high iq, harmonious, and most importantly, an ethnically homogeneous society.
but this respect is thinly-veiled, and paper-thin, because just like what blacks think of them, the whites mistake high iq, pro-social, pro-harmony, risk-averse tendencies of asians as being weak and effeminate. in other words, they think they're ubermensch gods compared to asians, including the japanese.
in their mind, the asians are the only other civilization comparable and competing with theirs, and the japanese is the best of asians. and so, if they are superior to the japanese, whom they see as the best asians, it makes them superior to all of asians, thus keeping the whites at the top.
this is also why they frequently consume japanese' white-worship contents, and take it to heart. they really think the japanese worship whites. in the back of their heads, japan is like a lifeboat in which they think they can go, and reap the benefit of living in an ethnically homogeneous, heckin trad and based, safe and aesthetic society while also being welcomed and worshiped as endangered 'elves' (they really think this)
which is why, you'd be astounded to see just how fast the mask of respect and concern drops as soon as a japanese say anything even remotely negative of whites— even of white gaijins acting like retards in japan. it all goes out the window into a venomous schizo fury of superiority and inferiority complex when a japanese see the rot of the west and calls out the absolute degenerate state of whites.
