I am currently studying Chinese by myself.

The pronunciation is really hard, and Chinese characters are really inefficient.
I think Korea was very lucky to abandon the Chinese text.

China's misfortune is that they invented letters too early.

I spent 2 years learning Chinese to a point where I could watch Chinese shows with Chinese subtitles on but I dropped it because I realised it made me look like a cringe incel
