Why can't Greeks think of a newer name instead of reusing old names all over their country? What if they ran out of names? Paleopolis? Neoneapolis? Neapaleoneopolis?

ironically ancient Greeks very much enjoyed larping so it seems fitting you could literally larp as another culutre back then to become one of them just like name your son the name of some persian guy and the Persian guy name his son after you and boom you now are friendship married. they had guys doing this way back for the egyptians even though it was one sides so you had guys in ancient greece with Egyptian names, sythian names etc.. etc.. and it makes it very confusing to track geonolgoy becuase you basically have these common names flipping back and fourth across cultures
