I'm not surprised about that, but about how Germans thought it's a better strategy to sell out the country to Western Europeans and the Chinese, while demonizing the nation in media.

Germans even felt morally superior for forcing Greece to take their credits with Jewish interest rates.

I expected too much from a nation that destroyed its Greek enlightenment to ally with Turks.
