Shia believe in the lineage of the prophet having all the rights to rule, sunnis believe in a voted council, both believe in a universal global caliphate. Ibadis believe in communities being free to choose their own leader
There's small differences in prayers and ablution that dont really matter. Ibadis believe god created the quran as a word of god at some point and that god is impossible to be seen or even visualized while mainline sunnah believe quran is eternal and conatural with god and that believers will see allah in the afterlife, fundamentalist salafists even believe in the corporeality of god
