You can because many of the issues that Mohammad raises are perennial religious issues. I wondered about how surely one should see the stories in the Bible in their historical context and that a lot of them happened in a time with long outdated social norms. And the reply was that actually no, the Bible is above any society so it should be followed to the letter.

The Bible is impossible to read without understand its historical context, like for example the entire New Testament cannot be understood without first understanding the politics of the Roman occupation and the beliefs of the Pharisees and so on. If you don't do that, you walk away with bizarre ideas like the Pharisees were evil Satan worshippers (rather than Jews with a stick up their ass, literally 'holier than thou') or that Jesus preached just generically supporting the government (rather than not getting involved with governments or economies you don't support, the true meaning of 'render to Caesar what is Caesar's').

Child marriages in the middle ages weren't that common in general(the average marriage age was surprisingly high) and when they happened it was usually between the kids of nobles.
Massive age gaps were quite rare as far as I know.
But a random king long ago the average European nowdays gives zero shit about isn't comparable in importance to the central religious figure Muslims pretty much worship(they try to live exactly like Muhammed did and follow every retarded thing he made up in pretty obsessive ways) anyway.
