Are they really going to try to steal Venezuela's oil and rare earth resources?

So it seems, so it seems, stealing oil, minerals and even drugs, all of that for democracy of course!

It's not like they're doing Venezuela any good.

The Orinoco belt can supply at maximum capacity 6 million barrels per day, at a time when the US has passed peak production and is now having to use less efficient sources like Shale, at the same time China is stockpiling for an assault on Taiwan. You tell me.

By the way, this is completely bipartisan. In a parallel world where Kamala was elected, the US would be gearing up to take out Maduro so Chevron can set up oil production in Venezuela before China invades Taiwan right now. Its not a matter of politics, but military strategy and imperialist calculus of power.

Venezuelan crude is shit quality, which is why Venezuela has no economic power despite having an unlimited quality of it

So the US is gearing up to take out Maduro for fun. Wow, seems pretty stupid for the most powerful country in the world with the most advanced intelligence agencies.

We’re taking him out because he’s the head of an unfriendly regime in our hemisphere. That’s more relevant than their shitty crude.

Yes, I'm sure we're going to lose to Venezuela, whose only defense are crumbling Russian anti-missile defenses that haven't been upkept in decades.
Maduro will get raped in a matter of seconds and your literal thirde sudaca brown mutt gang will be seething for the end of time. We should nuke your faggot ass next.

"Unfriendly regime". Yeah, because Maduro has been allowing Chevron in and then kicking them out for years because of negotiations. The USA has decided to end the problem now so it can focus on Taiwan.

Venezuela's oil is worthless to most of the world, yes, but not to America because American refineries specialized in processing it. That's why we buy the low quality crude from Canada's tar sands just to sell them our light sweet crude.

Seeing people post about LGBT or feminism in 2025 is wild. It's like depicting glam rock as the most popular music genre. Wasn't even that popular during its supposed height, there were more anti-sjw videos than really anything depicting social justice or idpol positively.

Producing enough oil to consume domestically VS exporting it are two different things. The US wants to export oil, primarily to Europe. But it also has to cover domestic consumption, which it could import from Venezuela. That would basically lead to Europe paying higher prices for US shale and other sources while keeping prices don in the US.

It's a very chan exclusive obsession too, I don't think I've ever seen anyone in real life associating the USA with these things. If anything we usually think the USA is one of the more conservative, anti-gay and sexist countries in the developed world.

I'm interested in this theory of the US outcompeting Russia or Saudi Arabia in oil exporting. Even if the US merged with Canada and expanded its reserves, which it already has an insane amount even without, then you'd still need to ship it across the ocean which costs fuel and labor. Russia just sets up a pipeline and also has almost as much oil as Saudi Arabia. They're the #2 exporter and by a very small margin.

The "Americans want oil" meme is outdated and from the 2000s. We produce most of the oil we use domestically since the 2010s.

Russia is already taken care of. Russia's economy and oil production has now collapsed, Nordsteam is destroyed, and it won't be long until Russia is too concerned with internal distress to export natural gas.

Saudi Arabia has already peaked in produced (image related). It will still continue to export but it can't grow its oil production anymore. They're now trying to diversify their economy because they know this.
