I never saw or knew the early 2000s or the late 1990s but when I see how people looked back then and what they did for fun I long for them the way a diaspora kid longs for his country of origin.
This place I came of age in is foreign, I don't recognize anything and I don't like being here, I'm an alien.

I was on furlough for most of the year, it was great I got free money and just stayed at home all day playing video games like I do usually when I'm off work but I didn't have social shame for doing so.
