If you asked me this question in 2015, I'd wager 4chan would last another 30 years at least, but the site is dying way faster than I expected. And I think it's a combination of factors, from Hiro putting up those insanely long wait times to make a post on a new IP, to most boomers moved on and not enough zoomers replacing them. Most zoomers are too tech illiterate to use anything that isn't a traditional phone app like tiktok or instagram.
Not to mention that 4chan is very old fashioned, the whole site UI has barely been updated since 2003. 2025 and you can't still post sound videos on most boards.
