I only played the tutorial area(my 10 year old PC can't handle the outside hub) and I thought it was good, I have played VTMB 10 times back in the day.

the traversal is fun, but everything else is ass.

I haven't played it yet. I heard that the gameplay is meh, even putting aside that its not an RPG in the same vein as the original, and the side quests are shit but the main story is well written

Naw, it was plagued by countless poor design decisions. Holds little to no replay value due to the illusion of choice/consequence and the awful fabien sections.

It did have a few good moments near the end however.

There's little to no RP in the G.
Your clan doesn't matter, it barely gives you dialogue options and you can get all combat skills regardless of the clan you pick.
Your choices don't matter, you get the exact same quests whatever you do and the only difference is the which shitty 30 second slideshow you get for an ending.

But I still liked it, it's well written, the story is interesting, Fabien is great (much better than Johnny Silverhand as far as voices in your head go).
Overall I enjoyed it for what it was. I didn't pay for it though.

I liked the vibes at the beginning of the game, and when you left your apartment for the first time and the Rik Schaffer song started playing it was immaculate. But then the map was pretty barren and the music was never as good as that song, and then I got railroaded into playing as the reddit detective so I stopped.
