Honestly even here plenty of people prefer Goku.
I've never watched DBZ, but it is super popular. Especially among black and asian Americans.
But, particularly for older generations, people like the Man of Steel.
I love Superman, he's fucking awesome.
I buy old Superman comics whenever I see an interesting one.
I'd be buying his current series, but they aren't actually that interesting.
His comics are better when it's really silly and not too serious sci-fi bullshit, or playing up his dynamic as Clark Kent at the Daily Planet.

Which one do I like more? Goku. Mostly because I interacted with almost no superhero media and grew up with DBZ, as did most millennials. Although from what I know about Superman he's far stronger than Goku to the point where you even wonder why people expect them to compete at all.
