NYC is an unlivable, unmanageable mess and this clown is just going to make things worse. It's already almost impossible for a middle class couple to raise a family in the city and this asshat has promised wealth redistribution policies that are just going to make everything worse. Because they degenerate down into cash grabs that don't fix any problems. The money is either embezzled or spent on someones pet project. Part of the problem with NYC real estate is rent control and rent subsidies. It's great for the first generation of renters, but kills any incentive for developers to build more units or put much money into fixing the current units. The government then steps in with more programs that don't address the core issues and the problems only get worse. There are cities in the US that are almost abandoned because of a cycle of high taxes, bad regulations, middle class flight, declining tax base and more bad government. Once the death spiral starts its almost impossible to stop. The Bronx was like that for a long time and parts are still messed up.

In EVROPA we've had various programs of wealth redistribution for close to a century and we're thriving. Healthcare, education, housing, transportation... some, most, sometimes all of it is free, wether it's in a huge city or a whole country it's near perfection.
Of course if you stuff a bunch of niggers in Section 8 and let the white man hoard all the wealth to build their personal waterparks in their backyards it's going to shit. This is not wealth redistribution even if you include Section 8.
