I can see socialism being for a mono-ethnic people because most of the reason people sperg out about taxes is because it goes to some foreign group that doesn't resemble racially or culturally. Even when the US was purely a democracy for white people and only white people could vote originally they restricted the right to vote for landowners. Only after Jackson's universal suffrage did the average white man get the right to vote. Even Roman plebians had a tendency to favor populism, no matter what you do there's always going to be an elite class while the majority of people largely remain involved with politics.
