The fact that millons of people believe this claim without any substantial proofs is evidence that politic discourse, both nationally & internationally, has become so brutish & degraded that people will believe just about everything that is presented to them without any attempt to do some critical thinking.
I'd like somebody to explain to me, how can drug dealers & traffickers, who are operating in the underworld & with many financial, legal & commercial obstacles, are able to confront a State with oil, tax & customs income & with a professional trained army?
Could it not be that, said criminal groups are actually functional to this State and are discarded once theyre no longer useful. Which by the way, is not new, many Nation-States have used gangsters in the past for political motives (ie americans using the italian mafia to supress communist in Italy, etc)
