I'm 33. My gf from hs/college who broke off our engagement when we were 20 eventually became an absolutely insufferable person I wouldn't have been able to stand spending any time around (fat alcoholic unsuccessful girlboss).

I never had a "her". Even growing up, I never had any crushes. I still fapped, but romance just seemed like an enigma to me. I understand it a little better now, and having a lifelong companion and kids has an appeal, but I don't think I'd want a romance as many movies, shows, and books show.
