The Lejew Institute that makes those indexes never consider "subjective happiness" (how happy you think you are), they always consider "objective happiness" (how happy they think you SHOULD be)
So, high political stability, low unemployment, personal freedom, ecological footprint, enterprise conditions and stuff like that.
Fact is, Finland has a higher suicide rate than the average of EU, and a high depression rate too.
If subjective happiness is considered, Finland doesn't place top 50 and the happiest country would be Malta if i'm not mistaken.
Finland is "trans-happy" they tell you that you're happy when you are clearly not.
