But isn't a colonial nation in its early days just scattered settlements that congregate in their own spheres?
The germans still celebrate oktober fest, the Irish do st. patricks day, etc. there is still a lingering identity of people.
The Italians had their own neighborhoods, the black do, the chinese have an entire town, etc.
Regardless the same can't be achieved for India and in my opinion, it shouldn't.

I live so far away from any given place people would socialize, by the time I drive there im exhausted, there's a soulless cafe near me but nobody goes inside. I tried picking up a part time job to socialize to go along with my trade job and it sucked too. Bars near me are all guys. Im at a loss on how to meet people besides just straight up moving away.
