It was more like he was psyoping my mom and my siblings. He thought of it like a tool you can use to create functional environments to raise kids in. He explained it to me as he got older before he died. My childhood was fine so if he was right and my mom (who literally believes) got closure from thinking he died saved and she'll see him again one day. She's a really monogamous too because of the religion and hasn't even remarried.

i mean, what would we even need that for, let's assume i die and i see my dead parents, i say hi to them and what's next? they know everything about me, i know everything about them, there's no point to talk about anything so it gets awkward and boring after a while and we are probably fed up with all that situation

The problem is you are focused on the image of religion. Because you are in a country where Islam is not the majority, you have a specific image curated by media that Islam is somehow more "Trad" than Christianity. If you lived among Muslims, you would see that the majority also treat their religion like Christians and embrace a modern life of sin and individualism.

Whatever religion brings you closer to god is a personal choice to make, but don't consider it anything other this. A vessle to become closer to God. It's not about what others do, it is about you and your relationship with God.

The world around you is a reflection of your relationship with God. Changing religion without embracing the true spirit of it won't change anything around you, as your lack of faith and destitution will remain. The world will continue to be corrupt and not "trad" if you remain so.
