The Airplane
Reminder the real inventor of the airplane was a brazilian by the name of Alberto Santos Dummont. The gay meme slingshot fake plane by the Wright Brothers shouldn't even be considered a real airplane.

im not surprised Brazil has never invented anything, i mean, how could you even focus on studying if it's +30C outside for all year round and when you look through your window you see 10/10 naked bundas dancing on the beach and surfing on the sea

>Santos-Dumont then progressed to powered heavier-than-air machines and on **23 October 1906** flew about 60 metres at a height of two to three metres with the fixed-wing 14-bis (also dubbed the Oiseau de proie—"bird of prey") at the Bagatelle Gamefield in Paris, taking off unassisted by an external launch system. On 12 November in front of a crowd, he flew 220 metres at a height of six metres.

>The Wright brothers made the first controlled, sustained flight of an engine-powered, heavier-than-air aircraft with the Wright Flyer on December 17, 1903, four miles (6 km) south of Kitty Hawk, North Carolina, at what is now known as Kill Devil Hills. In 1904 the Wright brothers developed the Wright Flyer II, which made longer-duration flights including the first circle, followed in 1905 by the first truly practical fixed-wing aircraft, the Wright Flyer III.
>On October 5, 1905, Wilbur made a circling flight of 24.2 miles (38.9 kilometres) in 39 minutes and 23 seconds,[4] over Huffman Prairie, longer than the total duration of all the flights of 1903 and 1904.

He's ethnically french, educated in france, spent nearly all his life in france and did all his inventions there. If you asked him he would probably say he was french.

sadly, Alberto Santos-Dumont committed suicide due to his profound disillusionment upon seeing airplanes, which he had dreamed of as instruments of peace and progress, being used for warfare during the Great War.
also, he always signed Santos=Dumont (with equal sign), to forever demonstrate that his Brazilian side was as important as his paternal (French) side.
RIP Alberto, a good soul.

who cares about this irrelevant loser anyway?
the Wright brothers could make 40 km circles when this loser's biggest achievement in 1906 (!) was flying 220 meters at a height of 6 meters

Reminder that this is what is believed in Brazil. Your country has accepted this, be content with that national delusion - err, pride.

It doesn't matter fucktard, this was the first autonomous flight of a heavier-than-air aircraft, without external assistance.
One year later he built another model that could fly more than 10km.
