There's nothing unhealthy about a dirty floor unless you intend to sit on the floor or touch it.
Furthermore, if you have dogs and cats it will be dirty regardless.

This is bullshit, people in France and Britain don't walk around their homes with their street shoes on. Have you seen the weather in the UK? Do you think they want mud all over their carpets and shit?
I?ll wear slippers or sandals in my own home for the sake of comfort but that's it,anywhere else I'll keep my shoes on
being barefoot is absolutely repulsive and a sign of being a savage, I don't care how clean the floor is

Did you know they've invented mops and disinfectant, so you no longer need to embarrass your visitors by making them take off their own shoes?

If visitors pay to have my shiny wooden floors refinished and polished after scratching them and causing water damage then sure, walk in with shoes on.
Oh yeah, you're gonna have pay for new rugs as well.
never wear shoes inside if I don't have to
I think it's typically just done in places where there's rarely mud or snow or sleet, so shoes are almost always dry, but that's not many places

You don't have to deal with picrel 6-7 months of the year.
If you walk in with shoes here (that will be soaked with water, oil, dirt and everything else from the streets) you will completely ruin floors, carpets and rugs in seconds.
