2 days after i turned 15 I had my learners permit and was driving my dad to church (which involved driving on the interstate since we went to the next city at the time, my mom and sister drove separately because they didnt want to die)
the agreement was I would drive up to the interstate and then pull over before and swap with my dad because this was literally my 2nd time behind the wheel of a car and I had a whopping ~45 minutes of experience
when we get to the interstate my dad says hes tired and refused to change seats with me. it was early in the morning during rush hour and the flow of traffic was ~80 MPH when the fastest ive ever driven previously was 55.
when we reach the destination my mom saw me get out of the drivers seat and she just yelled at my dad in the parking lot of the church.
It was very scary but it did a lot to improve my confidence at the time. I got my drivers license the day after I turned 16
