My preferred take is that she has a grudge against humanity that was sealed by some priest centuries ago and when unsealed she plans to kill everyone on Earth by surrounding the globe in permanent darkness.
The twist being that after finally resealing her, it turns out that she's still just as strong. Rumia always had near unstoppable power and the ribbon just makes her really chill, lazy and content with life so she never tries to get it removed.
