I liked Hiroshi Abe on TRICK so I went looking for something else comedy related and decided to try Dragon Zakura. His character was too one-note but the show was generally enjoyable (mostly because Nagasawa Masami was very cute). Tried to watch the sequel but it was absolutely unbearable. Setting aside the fact that almost everyone on new drama can't act and looks like a deformed alien (Minami Sara was the only exception), is the story going to the shitter a manga problem or is it the drama not caring about the original material again? The only actually good live action manga adaptation I've come across was the Aoi Haru movie with everything else ranging from hot garbage (Kyou kara ore wa, could also be the case for Aoi Honoo due to the MCs terrible acting but the girls were cute and the theme was interesting enough to make it bearable) to "We don't care about the original but we're too incompetent to come up with an interesting setting and want the audience boost from a pre-existing title" (Arakawa under the bridge, kyou kara ore wa is also guilty of this). Quite the tangent, recc any good comedies if you want or something fun with Hiroshi where he doesn't play the exact same guy.

Sono Sion held a press conference at the FCCJ, stating that he has basically not been able to do any work at all since the sex assault report in 2022 and that he's doing this press conference with the sole intention of being able to make films again

He also revealed that he's suing actor Yuki Matsuzaki, who said on Twitter that he demanded sexual acts from actresses he met at his workshop, claiming that he had been defamed and seeking compensation for damages.

>“For the past three years, I have been exhausted, depressed, and contemplated suicide after taking excessive amounts of sleeping pills. I was also hospitalized in a psychosomatic clinic." ”My wife was also living an anxious life. Of course, my income was cut off, funds were poured into the trial, and I ran out of money. I was driven into a corner by unjustified slander"

The more stuff I watch from Takeshi and Matsumoto the more unlikeable they become. They were pretty good in what they did in their day and somehow they are now considered geniuses even though they currently just abuse their seniority to enforce their position without creating anything of actual value, entertainment or otherwise.

I rewatched Rashomon 3 years ago and I've been reflecting a lot on it, thinking it's pretty much far greater than I thought when I watched it for the first time nearly 2 decades ago. I guess watching more movies made me really appreciate it. The innovative storytelling inspired global directors like Spielberg & Lucas and it was so groundbreaking that it spawned its own narrative device (the Rashomon Effect) where contradictory interpretations of the same event are presented.

Gilgamesh Night No.49536839 [Report] >>49539330
>Gilgamesh Night (ギルガメッシュないと / ギルガメッシュ・ナイト) was a Japanese softcore porn >variety TV show broadcast from October 1991 to March 1998.
>Airing early Sunday mornings at 1:15 a.m. JST on TV Tokyo, the hour-long show helped launch the >career of one of its late hosts, Ai Iijima, who afterwards moved into a more mainstream career.

Does anyone know where to watch, download or torrent this show?
It would be right up my alley and I was only able to find some clips on various tube sites.

All the sites in OP's FAQ are dead, and I can't find any other good site for the life of me.
What few that still exist are completely subsumed by Korean and Chinese shows, with few to no Japanese shows, and certainly none of the older ones.

You would think there's enough interest in JP media to make this easy, but I fuckin' guess not.

I feel like dramas between the 90s and 2010s had a bigger emotional impact on the viewers. Even if it was a humor drama, the story touched you deeper than recent jdramas. I feel they were more genuine. Nowadays jdramas are usually more serious, they try to show emotions even harder than before and yet they don’t reach that level. They feel superficial.

Art is shaped by the era it exists in. Subtlety and honesty have now completely died and all the good actors either passed away or retired. New actors are completely talentless and off-putting, they are practically celebrities as an occupation instead of becoming famous through their abilities or charisma.I'd go much older than your range of 90s-10s range but I guess it's a matter of taste. As a personal extra I feel that film added a lot of character compared to the sterile HD we get today + a lot of drama is completely creatively bankrupt. The moment I see that a drama is bringing up stuff like SNS, apps etc where it isn't needed, I know it has nothing to offer and is housewife tier. I also think that either the beauty standards in japan have completely shifted or a new wave of nepotism is hitting the industry VERY hard, barring the actors being talentless and uncharismatic like I previously said they are in their crushing majority alarmingly hideous, in older drama men were at the very least presentable and the women ranging from cute to drop dead gorgeous.

korekore pointed out on his stream that ano was wearing an expensive necklace when she seems more like the type that would wear an anpanman one
retarded ano simp posts a lie that korekore said he was shocked that she would wear luxury jewelry and makes an appeal for sympathy by saying it was a gift from a fan and she's just showing her appreciation boohoo
ano then quote retweets this attack saying I don't know why korekore is saying he's shocked it was a gift from a fan I always use stuff from my fans blah blah blah
then she quietly deleted the post after people pointed out it was all a lie
