words like 引く､かける､つく can not be learn via vocab cards because by themselves they don't mean anything. collocations like 気をつける which can mean "take care" or "pay attention", consist a useful quanta of language, and is thus a useful sentence card (not a full sentence well well).

I already did that. I'm interested in phonetics too, one of the reasons I'm learning it is because the language sounds beautiful. probably 大辞林 it doesn't always have the best entries as in the explanations are not the best but it has a huge amount of entries and it's great to have, the only real alternative to it is 大辞泉 which i also keep loaded but i go for the 大辞林 entries more often than 大辞泉 other than that i use meikou and shinmeikai as explained on my website which often have better definitions but less entries and less detail other than that i really like the pixiv dictionary because it helps you a lot with references and shit where the conventional dictionaries are useless
