The amount of fucking spells in this game that are just "haha you weren't standing in this specific spot at the start of the spell so it's impossible now" is really nice and cool.

Got to Junko for the first time, gameovered trying to graze her first non. I just gotta practice Clownpiece a bit and I'll probably be able to scrape by a clear.
I hate the enemy indicator in this game. It's barely visible most of the time so whenever there's a spell that I have to follow the boss for I most often die to it because I just couldn't even keep track of where they moved to. I get better luck trying to catch a glimpse of the boss itself on the top of the screen.

First L1CC. Didn't expect to win cause I got raped by Clownpiece again and entered stage 6 with one life, but alright. Not that Junko went particularly well either, but the one extend I got from her fight was enough to last me through. Also nearly captured PDH so that's kinda nice.
It's a pretty shit clear so I think I'll grind for one that does well before doing other shots.

I don't get picrel. The corners of the screen are supposed to be safe towards the end of every wave but sometimes it just decides to kill you for seemingly no reason. I have no idea if I'm doing something that causes it or if I could at least tell when it's gonna happen, but I know that there's a way to survive by staying in the middle of the screen so I guess I'll give that a try and see if it's more consistent.

Got another with my first attempt today. Had the same lives going into PDH and nearly the same score but I did miss a lot of chapter bonuses along with a couple dumb deaths early game so I think I did a better job of dodging overall. Good enough but I'm gonna go for one more clear cause I wanna end at least one run with okay resources.

Dang, Sanae's really OP in this game. Did a single attempt for fun and I cleared. Junko's hard with the bigger hitbox, but you really can't gameover when you get a thousand graze every time you bomb.

Reisen is even more broken, apparently. I knew she had the shield but I didn't think it'd be three hits per bomb.
I guess I might as well do Marisa now. I assume she's gonna suck enough to make up for these two being easy.

Marisa done. Cleared with my first credit that got out of the stage 1 cage but I did have to practice for a day first. Although I didn't bother enough to learn her stage routes properly so good boss performance carried me.
Her shot does okay damage so Marisa isn't too bad actually, just that her bomb just really sucks. It does really low damage so some spells like Lilies can still kill you even after bombing them twice. Those micrododging spells that Junko has gave me more trouble than anything though, they're really easy as Reimu but the slightly bigger hitbox makes them really bad when Junko decides to move down the screen.
Anyway, easy part of the game over with. I gotta figure out how much practice I need for an LNB now. Probably a lot. Definitely gonna have to get competent at PDH, at least to a point where I consistently only die to it once.

Playing a little bit of UM. Okay game but why the fuck do I need to confirm it when I press R to restart in the pause menu? The whole point of the shortcut is for it to be fast, is it not? It doesn't even default to yes so it's 3 button presses instead of just 1 like every other game. Did enough people accidentally reset for this to be necessary? Fucking annoying.

Cleared it. I haven't learned how to do a single spell past stage 2 but the cards that give you resources make it pretty much impossible to gameover. I did have to play Normal to unlock the two other starting card slots though so I guess I cheated a bit but I don't care. Back to LoLK.

i was gonna soft practice this game by spamming L1CCs till the replays fill up cause thats what i did for UFO and it was very fun but that might be a bad idea for LoLK
cause most of this game is spent resetting in stage 1 and yeah that's not very helpful overall, doesn't hurt to get more consistent at it but i'd rather that playtime go to anything else

got a junko no miss except for PDH, i'm more consistent with most of the game already than i thought so i'll do lots of PDH today and go for LNB attempts tomorrow i guess, curious to see if the game doesn't slam me too hard

I'm at 30 PDH caps. I'd like to say I'm getting more consistent but I die five seconds in too often and deathchain a lot as well so not really, still not good enough to guarantee me success in a run. I wanna do a hundred caps of it.

50 caps, still not feeling competent at it but I'm gonna do attempts for a few hours and see how much distance I can get.

Only started trying at all when I woke up earlier today so this was way quicker than I expected. I don't know if it's my fastest LNB because my first IN one might've been sooner but whatever.
Two things really carried the run, a Doremy LNN and Junko 1 miss up until PDH. Besides that it went pretty damn bad and I died in a lot of stupid ways to mostly the easy parts of the game. 14 misses.
Once to Seiran's last, twice in stage 2, once to fairies in stage 3, twice to Sagume's nons, once at the very end of stage 5 with three very avoidable deaths to Clownpiece after, one death to rain because I got extremely bad RNG with it, and then one death at the very end of Pristine Lunacy because I turned braindead for a moment and backed up into a laser. 2 misses to PDH, I only survived through it because I lasted the first ten or so seconds of phase 3 and that damaged her enough for me to power through with invincibility frames.
Roughly 90 hours played since launching the game according to player data, and I think a good half of that is probably just my first few PDH captures.
Eh, this was too short and I've been planning on it anyway so I'm gonna go for a Marisa LNB now.

at 50 caps with marisa, she actually barely kills slower than reimu even at 3 power so it wouldn't be so different if not for the hitbox. i'll do sanae the next time i touch PDH cause she does really low damage and that'll make it hard enough
i'll do the other 50 later though i wanna try to improve my marisa route now
need to get consistent at stage 2 streaming, relearn parts of stage 4, relearn stage 5 almost entirely which is probably going to be the worst part during runs cause its mostly just RNG and also practice junko's micro spells very much

..except PDH, probably at a 150+ caps with marisa at this point and i'm still mediocre in terms of consistency, still too prone to dying 5 seconds in. that probably isn't even close to how much time you need to spend to actually get good at it though so whatever
reason i've been practicing more than i really need to is cause i want a relatively low miss clear compared to that reimu LNB, like sub 10 miss at least but i'll come back to this game eventually so i'm not going for another clear if i get a shit one again

stage 5 destroyed me, fucked up the laser streaming, fucked up the fairies after, fucked up the star spam at the end, at least i captured the rng lasers though. died twice to clown cause the stars got visually obstructed during her second spell and i died to the third spell because i forgot how to do it with 3 power that's my fault
stage 6 died to rain cause i suck, died once to junko's easiest spell because i don't know dude, died once to PDH after which is okay actually
that was again too short i didn't really get to grind much outside of practice but that's my fault for overdoing that, i said i was gonna move on from this game after one more LNB but idk. haven't decided which touhou i wanna play next either
