Why would anyone think this was a good idea
>>49709435 (OP)I liked the movie tbqh
Marathoned this yesterday. Laughed more than I expected to, fights were well choreographed, could've used maybe one or two more episodes to develop the leads but didn't really drag nor rush. Plot was straightforward and predictable but executed well enough that it didn't feel trite. Wouldn't particularly recommend it over anything else but not a bad way to pass 5 hours.
>>49709804Why not? The story was good.
I need your help finding the name of a Show that I watched recently in Japan. I took my first trip to Japan back in May and while watching the local tv I came across a fever dream of a show. It was a live education/variety show where the main host was someone in a Chibi Mascot outfit where they CG'd on her(?) face and would add effects to her yelling at the other hosts, like steam coming out of her head. I remember that it had a bowlcut as well but any help would be appreciated
>>49710428>local tvWhich region?

>>49710797>>49710794Who is the target of this show?
>>49710169The plot sounded like a typical manga and the show feels like a live-action adaptation of it but surprisingly it’s an original story. Cool visuals, ridiculous and kind of stupid but I like the leads and the story was fun enough. Action was pretty solid. The plot felt rushed towards the end, though, and open ending kind of sucks. Maybe a 2nd season is coming?
>>49710794>>49710797The more footage I see, the more I hate it.
>>49710918150% women. Even the sole female lead is not cute enough to draw the male demographic.
>>49711083With how quickly the third and fourth 槍 were killed, it felt like they wanted to set up another season while also giving some form of closure for the first in case the second ends up not happening, if that makes sense. Personally not too disappointing since by now I'm used to the leads forcibly or willingly split up at the end despite having feelings for each other because of plot reasons type endings.

>>49713109Haven't watched the film, but the drama is great. Can't imagine the story being cut and flow the same way with all the events and emotional impact

J-film glorifies single-fathers as the most beautiful thing a parent can do for their kid, while the very few films about single motherhood as a taboo and full of sin and struggle.
I couldn't really enjoy the film (Step) because it felt a bit like forced drama and the entire cast being made of heavy hitters like Takyuki Yamada, Hirosue and Jun Kunimura did not help. Sometimes the starpower just takes me out of it
>>49716914>StepHow? It was realistic and the cast did a great job. I teared up quite a few times while watching it. It's an extremely emotional, heart-warming and beautiful with masterful storytelling. Couldn’t help but root for the characters, especially for Yamada a and Kunimura. It’s not a melodramatic tearjerker but realistic so I found myself sharing Yamada’s happiness and difficulties throughout the length of the movie.

>>49732783Lots of plot holes and/or lack of explanations in it (i.e the nonexistent reasonings why these women agreed to live with Shin), but that's to be expected from dramas and movies based on manga. Interesting premise but the execution left something to be desired. And they did Minami dirty, man.
>>49732843Felt like there was some attempt to subvert the "loser gets dragged to happiness and success by a harem of more attractive women" cliché by giving them all tragic backstories, denying him sex with the 17 year old, and killing my two favorite girls but to no real effect and only for him to end up with Hitomi for no reason.
And all that emotional toil for what? It really felt like he spent more time dreading the concept of murder than the actual death of his mother. And so one-sidedly as well; murder is evil but the destruction of a marriage and betrayal of a spouse doesn't even rate? I just can't bring myself to care about Shin at all

How can I watch Matsumotos Documental? On Prime they have only one or two seasons and I can't find it on "alternative" sites
This might be the wrong place to ask, but where could I watch/download western movies with Japanese 吹替? Lately I've realized just how much I'm being left out because of how many japs actually end up watching more western films than japanese (america has really made japan its bitch huh.) I don't want to watch it in English though because then I'd be watching a different version than they've seen and those nuances will get to me, additionally I've grown up as a weeb and for whatever reason western media has never tickled my interest-bone so it being localized in japanese presented with more japanese values would help with getting me into it.
Anywhere you'd ask this question you get answers for paying for those shitty streaming services, get called weird for pirating all your media, etc. Feels pretty hopeless, but surely there's a place somewhere right? I'm pretty desperate
