A good question, and not one I've really thought hard about before.
I like oni, and I like the deva. I've put a lot of thought (and dubious headcanon) into them. There's a lot of contrast between them that could be very cute, if done up right - the oni's oni, living it up in true oni fashion, the sort of girl one thinks of when they think of a female oni.
Then you've got the prim Kasen, an oni in active denial of her nature, one moralistic by the... stricter... standards of humans. And we're not getting into their status as old friends, which has countless opportunities for past encounters... or 'encounters'.
Some of this is, of course, also present with Suika... But I do prefer the larger oni to the small oni, even if I do like both.
I'm not being very coherent, I know...
