I think it's fair to assume humanity is an essence, but divinity in the Japanese worldview is a bit more complicated, it is supposed to be a force that permeates all natural reality, but in its relation to a being's nature, it is sometimes treated as an essence and sometimes as an attribute. If you don't make that distinction, then you have to also say Mt. Miwa is only 50% a mountain, for instance.
I think saying that Sanae is a divine human, that is, a human baring the attribute of divinity, makes the most sense, since she was born human and became divine.
