It grants additional rolls for damage. Think of it like DnDogshit 5e 'advantage'. 30 luck, the thief bonus, means 30% of the time on a damage roll, you roll a 2nd dice and take the higher result between the two. 100 luck means you always roll 2 dice in place of one, like the 5e advantage. 150 luck means you roll 2 dice all the time, and 3 dice half the time, always taking the best result.

I asked an LLM to simulate what +100 luck / stock DnD advantage would mean statistically, and it settled on a 31.67% damage boost using 400 simulated d20 rolls, so it's pretty significant. But there'll be a lot of diminishing returns once you start pumping that luck even higher.

Putting an element into the mainElement string will make the character immune to that element.

There is one called "Use Sprite on PC" (and an add-on called "Hop Step").
Open the character menu, click on your portrait and change the texture ID. You just need to change the "normal sprite" ID to use it, the other options are temporary modifiers. For example, if you put 2826 in the normal sprite option and 2726 in the combat option, you will turn into a younger sister with the shark outfit, but in combat you will turn into the younger sister shark.
You can see all compatible texture IDs with the in-game texture viewer (esc -> tools -> texture viewer -> "objC" tab). Empty IDs can be used to add custom sprites.

You're completely ignoring the fact that holy has bad spell availability.
The one positive that touch spells have is that they have the highest chance to inflict ailments, but holy has no secondary effect whatsoever.
Magic's secondary is purely defensive and doesn't apply to spells.
Resistances are only calculated as ranks in increments of 5, so having 2 or 3 resistance is the same as 0.
When you take into consideration that the holy spell you'll be using the most is touch (half the damage of arrow), the target would have to have at least 15 resistance for an arrow spell to do less damage, plus touch requires you to be in melee range.
The elder race trait is also available as a gene that will allow your mage to ignore immunities, as well as having better ailments in the future.
I used to play a priest and I stopped because the domains it has are dogshit.

Made a succubus witch and at 500 days or something I think it's been one of the smoother runs. At least if you're semi-familiar with the game mechanics.
Didn't think the choice through really and use mods so can't say it's entirely inherent to the combo but broomification is indeed handy early game plus succubus feels kinda in line with witch lore.
Moonlighting as a musician also seemed to worked well thanks to the charisma. As for other game mechanics it seemed to work acceptable to well thanks to how easy it is to increase stat potential.
Make sure to pick up that baker witch that sells spiked pastries early, you get a steady supply of broomification books plus food for yourself and the NPCs if you're not overly into cooking yourself.

It's mainly damage, and even in the most favourable comparison where you have a 1dX+0 damage dice, going from 0 luck to 30 luck is only a 10% damage increase (30% chance for 33% damage increase on average). In more typical conditions, the damage gain is less.
If luck made you randomly find better food or something, it would be much better.

I always liked thief desu, it's not broken or anything, but prolly the most solid 'normal', traditional RPG class. As the table above, 30 luck is essentially +9.5% on all damage dice, which already makes it as good as the warrior trait except it affects all non-melee damage (and supposedly evasion according to that other anon), that will further synergize once you start getting more luck through the piddly +6 luck feat and the more important lucky coins from the plat vendor and old ticket raffles

Plus, shadow domain is pretty great in how you'll play him. Blind through shadow arrow is the biggest single survivability booster against the typical enemy melee hit. There'll be equip-immune enemies you need to contain a different way, but it'll defang a good 70-80% of enemies even through endgame, even through level 2300+ bosses in the void.

Made a .textureexpand CSV file and followed the instructions and objC_[char id] condition from SourceChara.xlsx but it's STILL not working. I'm trying to make 2x1 creatures have gendered sprites, as context.

strangely enough the texture sometimes appears on the creature's dialogue portrait (when they don't have a regular portrait and use their sprite) but I can't get their actual on-map sprites to change, for the life of me. Maybe some of you other guys have better luck

Executioner of horome is stronger, since it just turns the game into diablo 2, but inquisitor gets very good magic domains and excommunication makes an already good debuff into a kind of ridiculous debuff. They're built as an all-rounder like priest, and just amplify whatever god you pick, so the class is pretty versatile. To me the most attractive are lulwy (speed, crossbows/marksmanship, black angel wielding the wind bow), mani (winchester, guns/marksmanship), and kizuami (most debuff-centric god). In theory there's nothing stopping you from just going melee inquisitor of ehekatl or something though.

Very very slow.
Faith is a skill that you develop by praying and sets the cap for piety.
Piety is the amount of favor you have with a God which resets if you swap. It's increased with offerings.
For the follower and weapon, you need 15 and 30 piety respectively.
I'm not even sure if praying awards any piety.

You can brute force it with some knowhow. For example making offerings gives you faith EXP once you're near (or at) your faith cap, so you can just join an easy to please god like Jure or Lulwy, pump your faith to 400%+ potential at willow or lumiest, and just dump a fuckton of offerings to powerlevel it. You won't get to really high faith levels by doing this, but you'll get your god weapon without too much effort. You can speed it up even more by taking the +faith feats. I made it a point to get the wind bow in time to swap to Jure at her festival in my current save, and it was really just a last minute push I did toward the end of the year rather than something I spent the whole year doing.

if you want to speed up piety gain, just offer soil corpses. Make raw food leaves by hammering flowers, then turn those leaves to arrows. Chuck the batch of raw food arrows in the compost bin to turn them into fertilizer. Although this method has been nerfed significantly since its discovery, the batch of arrows still give out a good amount of fertilizer.

This is good to do if you set up a beehive farm and have no use for flowers harvested.

Itzpalt is the vanilla choice for spellcasters, horome and kizuami are spinoff caster gods (melee-casting hybrids for horome and debuffer/summoner for kizuami). Jure is a mix of casting and defense, basically a healer oriented god. The other gods have a bit of a melee bias but are usually at least generically useful in terms of their rewards and stat bonuses.

For a wizard i'd go with Itzpalt of Element if you want to min-max. Super wizard-focused.

Ehekatl of Luck and Lulwy of Wind have value on any character because they buff luck/speed. And luck/speed stats are busted.

Horome of Moonshadow also supports casting and Magic, but she also supports swords. So if you want to branch into a bit of a battle-mage, you can go with her. she also lets you give rods as an offering, so she might be an option too because shes super easy to level.
